The Teenage Tutor at Kent Woman in Business Awards!

We are absolutely delighted to share some brilliant news: The Teenage Tutor has been named a finalist in the Kent Women in Business Awards (KWIBA) 2026.

KWIBA celebrates the women who are leading outstanding businesses across Kent, and being recognised as a finalist is a genuinely proud moment for our whole team. The Teenage Tutor started with a simple goal: give high-achieving students a good way to earn while they study, and give families something better than traditional tuition. Our tutors are students who have just been through the same exams and pressures, so the support is relatable and rooted in what works. We focus on what each child needs most, whether that is confidence, structure, or stretch, then match them with the right tutor and a clear plan that keeps progress moving. Over the last year, we have grown our tutor team, transitioning to a whole new system and delivery method. This is something our team has welcomed, allowing us to expand our service to help as many new pupils as we can.

We are very proud to announce that we have been nominated in two different categories. Our founder and head tutor, Alex, has been nominated for Young Businesswoman of the Year, a well-deserved recognition for her hard work over the past 7 years. The company as a whole has also been nominated under the ‘Education and Training’ business award.

Being a finalist is also a moment to recognise the people who make this happen. To our tutors, thank you. You bring the subject knowledge, energy, patience, and professionalism that students feel immediately. To our families, thank you for trusting us, and to our students, keep working hard! Watching confidence grow is the best part of the job.

We will share more after the awards have been announced, but we are honoured to be considered regardless. Whether you have been with us for many years or have only recently found us, thank you for your trust.

And finally, a huge congratulations to all the other finalists. Kent is full of incredible talent, and it is an honour to be recognised alongside so many impressive businesses.

Thank you, KWIBA 2026, and good luck!
